New Delhi, Jan. 8 -- Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Thursday ordered a forensic examination of a video linked to a statement by Leader of Opposition Atishi, saying there appeared to be an attempt to raise questions over the functioning of the House.

The Speaker directed that the forensic report to be submitted within 15 days, noting that the demand for the probe had come from both ruling and opposition parties.

Reacting to the controversy, Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra told reporters that Atishi had committed a "very serious crime" and accused her of deliberately insulting Sikh Gurus.
