Delhi Speaker issues advisory, GAD directs senior officers to attend house committees meetings

Pankaj JainNew Delhi, Feb. 15 -- Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Sunday issued an advisory to Members serving on various House Committees of the Eighth Legislative Assembly, stressing the need for regular attendance and active participation to strengthen legislative oversight.

"House Committees are the working pillars of legislative oversight. Their effectiveness depends upon the seriousness, regular participation, and collective wisdom of Members," the Speaker said while addressing the issue.

According to an official communication, the advisory urged Members to ensure consistent presence in Committee meetings and meaningful engagement in deliberations.
