New Delhi, Feb. 16 -- Delhi-NCR is witnessing a gradual increase in temperatures even as traces of winter linger across North India.

The region is expected to receive light rainfall later this week, offering a brief change in weather conditions.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), light showers are likely around Wednesday, February 18.

However, no warning has been issued for heavy rainfall. A fresh western disturbance is expected to affect the Himalayan belt, bringing cloudy skies and isolated rainfall in the mountainous regions.

Meanwhile, states including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh are projected to experience a steady rise in daytime temperatures.
