New Delhi, Sept. 30 -- The Aam Admi Party (AAP) today claimed that Delhi is experiencing a significant surge in mosquito-borne diseases, with the city reporting its highest number of dengue and malaria cases in the last five years.
The AAP said that in the past week alone, 38 new malaria cases and 74 new dengue cases were reported. This brings the total number of infections this year to 371 for malaria and 759 for dengue. Cases of chikungunya have also reached a five-year high, with 61 reported cases so far.
