New Delhi, April 8 -- Delhi Police stepped up efforts to strengthen grassroots security by organising a Prahari meeting and security guard briefing at Swasthya Vihar Club under the Preet Vihar police station area, an officer said on Wednesday.

The meeting was held on April 7 as part of the Prahari Scheme. The programme saw participation from around 100 private security guards deployed in residential societies and commercial establishments across the East district.

The initiative aims to integrate private guards into the broader policing network, recognising them as first responders in local security.
