New Delhi, Dec. 3 -- In a bid to address the worsening air quality in the National Capital Region, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Wednesday directed Delhi and other NCR state governments to prepare a comprehensive, year-round action plan covering the entire January-December cycle.
At a media briefing, the CAQM chairperson said the states have until the end of this month to finalise the plan, which is slated for rollout in January 2026.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi, along with civic bodies in Gurugram, Noida, and Ghaziabad, has also been instructed to draw up similar action plans for activities falling under their respective jurisdictions, the official added.
