New Delhi, Jan. 9 -- Delhi Minister Pravesh Verma on Friday accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of deliberately disrupting Assembly proceedings, saying the Opposition is trying to stall legislative work for "political gains".

Speaking in the House, Verma claimed the entire country had witnessed Opposition members creating disruptions, even during a government-scheduled discussion on pollution.

He alleged that AAP legislators interrupted the Lieutenant Governor's address, despite being fully aware of the agenda.

"The people of Delhi should know what our government has achieved in the last 10 months and compare it with what the previous government did over 11 years," Verma said.
