New Delhi, Dec. 24 -- Delhi Social Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh on Wednesday inspected the shelter home for old-age residents and leprosy and TB affected persons at Tahirpur.

The Minister directed that work on all essential facilities be initiated within one month and reviewed the medical and cold-protection arrangements, issuing necessary instructions for their improvement. Currently, 143 male leprosy patients live at the shelter home.

During the visit, residents requested musical instruments for their bhajan group. In response, the Minister instructed officials to provide the instruments promptly, emphasizing the importance of recreational facilities for the mental well-being of the residents.
