New Delhi, Feb. 22 -- Under the leadership of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who is chairperson of the State Names Authority (SNA), the names of several existing metro stations in the national capital have been revised, while some names have been retained as originally proposed in the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
Gupta, as Chairperson SNA, said that the names of the metro stations do not refer to merely points of transit, but also reflect the identity and cultural significance of the particular areas where they are located, serving the people.
