New Delhi, March 2 -- : Delhi Mayor Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh on Monday appealed to property owners across the city to take advantage of the extended Property Tax Amnesty Scheme 2025-26, which is titled Sumpattikar Niptaan Yojana (SUNIYO), before its final deadline of March 31.
Announcing the extension, the mayor described the scheme as a "golden opportunity" for taxpayers to clear outstanding dues without paying interest or penalties.
In his statement, he emphasised that the scheme will not be extended beyond March 31. The late fee remains unchanged at 5 percent, applicable from February 1 to February 28, in line with the previous extended period.
