New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- Lawyers across all district courts in the national capital today suspended their strike against the August 13 notification issued by the Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) after union Home Minister Amit Shah assured that he would meet Bar representatives to discuss their concerns.
A circular issued jointly by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and the Coordination Committee of All District Court Bar Associations of Delhi announced that the agitation, including the call to abstain from work and the scheduled protest outside the LG's residence would remain suspended until the outcome of deliberations with the Home Minister.
