Pankaj JainNew Delhi, March 5 -- Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh has directed the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) to ensure strict compliance with provisions related to free treatment for patients belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in identified private hospitals across the capital.
Singh instructed the DGHS to maintain close monitoring of hospitals to ensure that eligible EWS patients are receiving timely and appropriate treatment.
He emphasised that hospitals must adhere to the mandated norms and that any lapse in providing treatment to EWS patients will lead to strict action.
