Dharamshala, Dec. 4 -- Former union Minister Shanta Kumar on Wednesday said that Delhi has reached the top position among the most polluted capitals of the world. According to a report, in 2022 about 1.7 million people died in India solely due to air pollution. In Delhi, many young children have started developing cancer due to pollution, he obserwed.
He said that the Supreme Court has also intervened in the matter and stated that it has no magic wand to solve this problem immediately. "Many people are suffering in Delhi due to various causes of pollution. It pains me that no one is paying serious attention to the root causes" he added.
