New Delhi, Dec. 30 -- The Delhi Assembly session beginning on January 5 will witness a detailed debate on air pollution, with the Delhi government set to bring a proposal on environment and pollution before the House.

Delhi minister Kapil Mishra said on Tuesday that the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers have decided to introduce several proposals during the winter session.

He said the Assembly will hold an in-depth discussion on air pollution. The government will move a proposal on the environment and pollution, and all MLAs will participate in the debate.

The discussion will focus on why pollution levels in Delhi remain high, the main contributing factors, and the steps taken so far to address the issue.
