New Delhi, Jan. 7 -- In a bid to ensure the safety of drinking water across the capital, Delhi Water Minister Pravesh Verma has issued strict directions to the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to intensify inspections and monitoring of the city's water supply system.
According to the official directive, the DJB has been instructed to take immediate and sustained measures to prevent any possibility of contamination, especially in vulnerable areas where water pipelines run close to sewer lines.
