New Delhi, Jan. 20 -- Delhi government's Expenditure Finance Committee(EFC) has approved a major infrastructure project for South Delhi. At an estimated cost of Rs 1,471.14 crore, a six-lane integrated elevated road, along with two underpasses, will be constructed on M.B. Road from Saket G-Block to Pul Prahladpur.

The project is targeted for completion by December 2027.

The meeting of the EFC was held at the Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday chaired by Delhi CM Rekha Gupta.

With a total length of nearly five kilometres, the project will be developed in two phases. The first elevated stretch will run from Saket G-Block to Sangam Vihar, measuring 2.42 kilometres.
