New Delhi, Dec. 6 -- In order to fulfil the vision of a Developed India-Developed Delhi, the government is working for the first time on a large scale to bring the dreams of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar to the ground.

Delhi's social welfare minister on Saturday shared that under the Scheduled Cast (SC) Basti Redevelopment Scheme of the SC/ ST welfare department, 114 development works amounting to Rs 65.55 crore have been approved so far.

Speaking on the occasion of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar's death anniversary, Indraj informed that alongside redevelopment of colonies belonging to the underprivileged, Delhi government is spending nearly Rs 700 crore for the improvement and rehabilitation of slums and JJ colonies across the city.
