New Delhi, May 2 -- A heavy downpour accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms hit Delhi-NCR in the early hours of Friday, causing waterlogging in several areas of the capital and leading to traffic congestion on the roads.
The sudden influx of rainwater caused water to accumulate on the roads, resulting in traffic jams and inconvenience for commuters who were heading to work or other essential destinations.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta took to the streets to assess the situation, visiting Majnu Ka Tila and directing officials to take necessary measures due to severe waterlogging in the area.
