New Delhi, Dec. 23 -- Delhi Crime Branch has dismantled a racket involved in the illegal import, repackaging, and sale of expired international food products from major brands, including baby food, posing a serious threat to public health. The total value of the seized goods is estimated at around Rs 4.3 crore, they said on Tuesday.

According to the police, the syndicate was involved in importing near-expiry or already expired branded food items from countries including the UK, USA, and Dubai, and then tampering with manufacturing and expiry dates.
