New Delhi, May 3 -- Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devender Yadav today expressed grief over the deaths of nine people in a fire at a residential building in Vivek Vihar Phase I and urged the government to provide immediate assistance to the affected families.
In a statement, Yadav said the authorities should extend financial compensation to the bereaved families and ensure proper medical treatment for those injured, who have been admitted to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital. He also called for a high-level inquiry to determine the cause of the fire.
