New Delhi, Dec. 26 -- Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Devender Yadav on Friday raised strong objections to reports suggesting the Delhi government plans to replace the current free travel system for women in DTC buses with a mandatory 'Pink Saheli Card'.
Yadav alleged that the move, reportedly set to begin from January 1, 2026, would effectively strip a large section of Delhi's women of their right to free travel. He argued that the requirement for online registration and KYC would create significant barriers for uneducated, less educated, and migrant women residing in slums, resettlement colonies, unauthorised colonies, and rural parts of the capital.
