New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- Amid Yamuna's rising water level and the risk of flooding, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is personally monitoring the entire situation, and today she again took stock of the on ground situation by stepping into a water-logged lane in the low lying flood plain area of Yamuna Bazar.

As the water had seeped in some of the settlements situated in low lying floodplains of the river at Yamuna Bazar, the CM stepped barefoot into the waters, and interacted with affected residents, assuring all help, stating that the government stands firmly with them.

The CM also emphasised that the situation in areas adjoining the Yamuna remains under control.
