Delhi CM Rekha Gupta takes charge
New Delhi, Feb. 20 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta took oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi on Thursday at the Ramlila Maidan here.
Ms Gupta arrived at the Delhi Secretariat at 3 pm in afternoon to formally assume charge. After that, she went to Vasudev Ghat in Yamuna Bazar to attend a programme at 5 pm.
She will chair the first Cabinet meeting later in the evening.
The first meeting of the new Council of Ministers has been convened at 7 pm at the Delhi Secretariat.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has come to power in Delhi after 27 years.
