New Delhi, Feb. 26 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday launched the key power infrastructure projects aimed at preserving heritage areas and strengthening electricity supply across the city.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister said that Delhi has taken a strong step towards the future while paying tribute to its past.
Highlighting the historic importance of Chandni Chowk, she said the area has remained a vibrant centre of trade and culture for centuries. Its havelis reflect history, and its narrow lanes preserve the city's rich heritage.
However, she noted that overhead electricity wires hanging across the area had long affected its beauty and posed safety risks.
