New Delhi, Dec. 30 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday said her government is taking strong and effective action on several fronts to control air pollution in the national capital. She said once the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) is lifted, construction work on nearly 400 kilometres of roads across the city will begin.
The Chief Minister said the roads will be constructed wall-to-wall to prevent dust from road edges, which is a major source of pollution. Along with road construction, the government is also installing mist spray systems on road medians to control dust and improve air quality.
