New Delhi, Feb. 16 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has extended special financial assistance of approx Rs 3,700 Cr. to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to strengthen civic infrastructure and essential public services across the national capital.
The financial support is aimed at improving road infrastructure, sanitation systems, municipal schools and community facilities throughout the city.
Special allocations have also been made under the Chief Minister's Development Fund (CMDF) to accelerate key projects.
The Chief Minister said that sanitation services and maintenance of roads of less than 60 feet in width fall under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation.
