New Delhi, Nov. 19 -- A 16-year-old Class 10 student of St. Columba's School in Ashoka Place allegedly died by suicide on Wednesday by jumping from the Rajendra Place Metro Station. A suicide note claimed that harassment from his school teachers and principal led him to take the extreme step.

The incident occurred at around 2:45 PM. An FIR has been filed at the Raja Garden Metro Station under section 107/(3)(5) of the BNS.

The deceased, Shourya Patil, wrote in the suicide note that action must be taken against his teachers and principal to protect other children.

Delhi Police officials stated they recovered a suicide note from the student's school bag.
