New Delhi, Nov. 19 -- Delhi woke up to another smog-laden morning on Wednesday, with the city's air quality remaining firmly in the 'very poor' category for the sixth straight day.

The 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 392, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), offering no respite to residents already grappling with persistent pollution.

Air quality monitors across the city painted an even grimmer picture. Eighteen of the 38 monitoring stations recorded AQI levels in the 'severe' zone - a category reserved for readings above 400 and associated with serious health risks.
