New Delhi, Dec. 28 -- In an advisory issued on Sunday, Delhi Airport advised passengers to check the status of their flights with the respective airlines before heading to the airport, amid weather-related conditions in parts of north India.

Visibility dropped sharply in the early hours as dense smog blanketed large parts of the capital on Sunday.

The IMD reported extremely poor visibility, with Safdarjung recording just 100 metres and Palam around 500 metres at 8 am, disrupting normal morning movement in several areas.
