Chennai, Dec. 20 -- AIADMK General Secretary and Leader of the Opposition, Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS), todaysaid the removal of over 90 lakh names from the draft voter list, the majority of which are suspected to be fake and duplicatevote vindicted the AIADMK's consistent stand on the necessity and intent of the SIR process from the very beginning.
In a statement here, he said "The DMK, which believed it could cling to power by manipulating democracy through fake votes,is now facing panic and frustration as that illusion collapses".
EPS said the ruling party has begun preparing "lamentation dramas" to mislead the public.
Addressing voters directly, EPS urged citizens not to panic if their names are missing from the draft voter list.
