London, July 4 -- Defending champions Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara continued their pursuit of back-to-back Wimbledon men's doubles titles with victory over British pair Billy Harris and Marcus Willis.

Briton Patten and his Finnish partner Heliovaara came out on top 7-6 (8-6) 6-3 on another hot day at SW19 to progress to the third round today.

They have now knocked out two British pairings in as many matches with victory over Dan Evans and Henry Searle in round one.

Hunting a third Grand Slam title at their fifth major, the partnership is already proving to be effective having only joined up in April last year.
