Kolkata, Sept. 16 -- Engineering sector MSMEs, with their innovation and cost-effectiveness, are emerging as key partners in building a strong and self-reliant defence ecosystem, according to EEPC India's former chairman Arun Kumar Garodia.
Delivering the inaugural address at the fifth edition of India MSME Defence Week, organised by EEPC India, Garodia said the Indian defence and aerospace manufacturing sector has evolved into a promising sunrise industry under the Make in India and Atma Nirbhar Bharat missions.
"The steady increase in the participation of engineering MSMEs in the defence manufacturing value chain is proving critical to indigenisation," he stated.
