Chennai, Aug. 15 -- The 79th Independence Day was celebrated by the Defence Forces in Chennai today.
On the occasion, all the Service Heads led by Lieutenant General V Sreehari, General Officer Commanding, Dakshin Bharat Area of Indian Army, Rear Admiral Satish Shenai, NM,Flag Officer Commanding ,TN and Puducherry Naval Area of Indian Anvy, Air Commodore Tapan Sharma, Air Officer Commanding, Indian Air Force Station Tambaram and representative of Inspector General Indian Coast Guard and veterans laid wreaths at the Victory War Memorial, Chennai.
