Patna, Sept. 2 -- A defamation case was filed today in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Patna, terming the alleged indecent remark made about the Prime Minister's mother during the Voter Adhikar Yatra as defamatory and inflammatory.
The complaint was filed in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Manish Kumar Upadhyay by Patna High Court lawyer Awadhesh Kumar Pandey under sections 3(5), 61(1)(2), 62, 356, 351, and 353 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
In the petition, Rahul Gandhi, Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, Mukesh Sahni, and Mohammad Rizvi alias Raja have been named as accused.
The case has been registered as Complaint Petition No. 12873/2025. The matter would be heard tomorrow.
