New Delhi, Nov. 27 -- The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 auction concluded on Thursday with high drama and record-breaking signings, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.

Deepti emerged as the standout buy, going to UP Warriorz for Rs 3.2 crore, while a total of 67 players, including 23 overseas stars, were sold, with franchises collectively spending Rs 40.8 crore.

Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru maxed out their funds, assembling 16-player squads with six overseas and 10 Indian players each.

Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz went slightly overboard with 18-player squads, retaining a Right to Match (RTM) option in Gujarat's case and Rs 15 lakh in the purse.
