Deepam row politically motivated, none can prevent, Lord Shiva will ensure it is lit atop the hills: Dharmendra Pradhan

Chennai, Dec. 31 -- Condemning the ruling DMK for not honouring the verdict of the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Courton lighting Karthigai Deepam atop the Tiruparankundram hillock, adjacent to the Sikkandar Badshah Dargha in Madurai, union Education Minister and BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday asserted that none could prevent the lighting of Deepam asLord Shiva will take care of it.

"It is the Tamil Nadu government which is responsible for the controversy over lighting the Deepam on the hilltop", he said.
