Agartala, Jan. 23 -- Tension spread across Dhalai district of Tripura following recovery
of decomposed body of a missing Imam (Islam preacher) from the river in Kamalpur.
According to police, Imam Abdul Barir, a resident of Muslim Para in Kalachhari, went
missing on the evening of January 18 last when he had travelled back home from a local
market through rustic road on the bank of Dhalai River. Allegedly, he was murdered and
dumped into the river.
Police arrested one Alim Uddin of the locality who has been in police custody for past
three days.
The local people on Friday noticed a floating body in the river and reported to police.
