Hyderabad, July 6 -- Sigachi Industries Limited has confirmed the tragic loss of two more employees following the devastating fire accident at its Pashamylaram facility, bringing the total number of fatalities to 42.
The incident, which occurred on July 4, remains one of the worst industrial accidents in recent memory in Telangana.
Of the 143 employees present at the facility during the time of the accident, 61 have been confirmed safe. Among the 33 injured, 14 have now recovered and been discharged from hospital care, while 18 are still undergoing treatment at various hospitals in Hyderabad. Alarmingly, eight employees are still unaccounted for.
