Mumbai, June 19 -- The death toll from the June 9 suburban train accident near Mumbra station has risen to five, with 51-year-old Anil More succumbing to his injuries at a private hospital on Thursday morning.



More passed away at around 11 am, confirmed Thane Tehsildar Umesh Patil.



The incident had claimed four lives on the day of the tragedy, when overcrowding led to passengers falling from a moving local train during morning peak hours between Diva and Mumbra stations.



Another injured commuter, 40-year-old Shiva Gavli, remains in critical condition and is on ventilator support at the hospital.



The remaining injured individuals have reportedly been treated and discharged.
