Gaza, Feb. 17 -- The death toll from Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, when the Israel-Hamas conflict escalated, has risen to 28,858 people, and over 68,600 others have been wounded, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

"The number of victims of Israeli aggression has increased to 28,858 since October 7, and 68,667 people have been injured," the health ministry said in a statement.
