New Delhi, April 7 -- In a major boost to regional maritime cooperation, Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Colombo Dockyard PLC (CDPLC) to enhance capabilities in ship repair, maintenance, and shipbuilding across South Asia, DCIL said here on Tuesday.

The strategic collaboration combines DCIL's extensive dredging fleet and operational expertise with CDPLC's advanced shipbuilding and repair infrastructure.

The partnership aims to deliver efficient, cost-effective, and timely solutions in vessel maintenance, retrofitting, and new shipbuilding projects, including specialised dredgers and offshore support vessels, according to a DCIL statement.
