Chennai, Aug. 9 -- Days after quitting the AIADMK protesting against party's alliance
with the BJP and joining the ruling DMK, former Minister S Anwar Raajhaa was today
appointed as the DMK Literary Wing President.
As per the Party Rule 31 Clause 10, Anwar Raajhaa was appointed as the DMK Literary
Wing Leader, Party General Secretary and Tamil Nadu Water Resources Minister
Duraimurugan said in a statement.
Mr Raajhaa, a prominent Muslim face of the AIADMK and a former MP, was a vocal critic
of the BJP and expressed his disenchantment over the party reviving its ties with the
saffron party for the 2026 Assembly polls.
Protesting against this, Anwar Raajhaa had on July 21 quit the AIADMK, dealing a
severe blow to it, and joined the DM...
