Pune, March 21 -- Day temperatures were below normal by 2-5degC over some places over south Bihar, north Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, southeast Uttar Pradesh and northeast Madhya Pradesh on Friday, the India Meteorological Centre said in its bulletin.

The day temperatures were above normal by 2-4degC over Jammu division, east Punjab, west and central Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha and near normal over rest parts of the country. On Thursday, the highest maximum temperature of 41.1degC was reported at Anantapur (Rayalaseema) over the country.

Night temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1degC or more) at isolated places over Odisha; appreciably above normal (3.1degC to 5.0degC) at a few places over Bihar and isolated places over east Uttar...
