Pune, April 2 -- Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1degC or more) at isolated places over Saurashtra and Kutch; appreciably above normal (3.1degC to 5.0degC) at many places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh; at a few places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya.
The day temperatures were above normal (1.6degC to 3.0degC) at a few places over Gujarat region and Gangetic West Bengal; at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Rayalaseema and Marathwada.
