Itanagar, July 12 -- Arunachal Pradesh Science and Technology Minister Dasanglu Pul called on Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh, in New Delhi yesterday to discuss key proposals aimed at boosting biodiversity conservation and bioeconomic development in the state.

During the meeting, Pul proposed the establishment of the country's first Ex-Situ Germplasm Bank in Arunachal Pradesh to preserve rare and economically significant plant species. She also suggested setting up an Eastern Arunachal Regional Centre for Bioresource Management and Development to sustainably harness the region's rich ecological assets.
