Siliguri, April 10 -- Amid preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections, the Darjeeling district administration on Friday organised a voter awareness campaign involving first-time voters from various colleges.
The programme began in front of Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, from where students and new voters took out a march through the town to encourage greater electoral participation. As part of its outreach, the district administration also released video clips featuring songs and messages to promote voter awareness.
