Copenhagen, Sept. 29 -- The Danish company Weibel, specializing in Doppler radars, has installed a radar near Copenhagen Airport as part of efforts to counter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) following recent drone incidents, the Danish Ministry of Defense has said.
"Authorities and suppliers are working around the clock to enhance drone countermeasures in Denmark. In particular, Weibel has installed the XENTA-M5 radar near Copenhagen Airport," the ministry said on X yesterday.
Last week, several Danish airports suspended operations after drones were spotted in the skies, including over the capital city of Copenhagen.
