Aizawl, Oct. 7 -- The by-election for the Dampa Assembly constituency in Mizoram's north-western Mamit district, set to take place on November 11, will see 20,790 eligible voters - 10,605 male and 10,185 female - casting their ballots.
Four major political parties are fielding candidates, making it a closely watched contest.
Dr. Lalrozama, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) for Mizoram, outlined the security measures in place for the election, particularly with regards to the constituency's proximity to the international border with Bangladesh.
