Sultanpur, Aug. 10 -- A 25-year-old Dalit youth, Navneet Kori, was shot dead this morning in Bhundara Parshurampur village in the district. Police sources said Navneet had gone to the fields when he was shot in the head at close range. Navneet married a girl named Shivani two months ago, reportedly against the wishes of her family. Shivani alleged that her brother, Rajneesh, is responsible for the murder. In a video that surfaced from the crime scene, Navneet's sister can be seen informing the police that Rajneesh shot her brother and fled on a Bullet motorcycle.
