Thiruvananthapurm, March 24 -- Senior Congress leader and AICC Working Committee Member Ramesh Chennithala has said serious social issues facing by Dalit communities will be raised with the Central and State Governments.
The issues and suggestions discussed at the 'Dalit Progressive Conclave-2025' will be taken up with the State and the Central authorities to find a solution to uplift the marginalised sections in the country, Chennithala said.
"About 25 crore Dalit people, constituting 16.6 percent of countrys population, are still marginalized."
The Conclave has been organised by the Gandhi Gramam Foundation, which was formed in 2010 when Ramesh Chennithala was President of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC).
